I don't know if you are planning on using the scissor jack to lift the vehicle from the cross-member, but I thought I'd just throw it out there that the scissor jack is only to be used on the pinch weld. The top of the scissor jack would be too unstable on a cross-member. I have a 2015 Mazda 3 Itouring sedan. I know the manual says the jack points are the four spots on the pinch welds, but my floor jack is flat and not grooved to fit the pinch weld. I don't want to bend it, but this also doesn't sold the issue of where to put jack stands. There are also pinch welds on the chassis edge that are perfectly acceptable.
