A couple days after I opened the straw ...If it stalls, you can always use it as a grain-to-grain transfer, and you'll see results faster than with inoculation which will enable you to refine your grain jar making tek more quickly. I have moved on quickly to making my own grain jars, but I'm still glad I got a couple of UB bags going while I was working that out.Doing it that way will take a while. I get mycelium going on agar plates, when the agar is fully covered in mycelium (1-2 weeks) I transfer that to the Uncle Ben's rice. From agar to fully colonized Uncle Ben's bag, ehh about a month with good consistent temperature. use uncle bens tek to make spawn 2)use bucket tek to make substrate 3)setup your tub (i suggest bod unmodified tub tek like several others) Ive found mixing most of the spawn with substrate to be better rather than layering. Pour the corn into the colander to drain out the cook-water, rinse in cold water, and then set aside to drain thoroughly for 30 minutes. The water should be in the kernels, not on them.
